In the studio we cut this mini from denim with a low waist and a pleated hem, and we built in pockets so the hands have somewhere to go. It has some give, which keeps the shape from fighting you when you sit or bend. The fabric does not stretch far past that, so if you sit between sizes, the smaller one will sit better on the waist.
